About five or six years ago I got a free Electronica CD in Road Records with the Halfset track ‘Laptop Dancer’. Since then I’ve listened to that track on repeat for about an hour once a week. It reminds me of home. This track from their gig in the Sugar club is pretty good too.
Can someone tell me why indie folk legend Bonnie ‘Prince’ Billy is in the new Kanye West video? This just seems like a very wierd hip-hop dream … athough it wouldn’t be the first time I’ve had one of those.

But the most annoying thing about this list is that Candian-born writer Saul Bellow actually won the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1976 but didn’t even make the top 100. Clearly in the eyes of the Canadian Public literary classics such as Herzog and Seize the Day are no match for cultural milestones like Skater Boi, So I Married an Axe Murderer or ‘The Excellence of Execution’.
